FINANCIAL INNOVATION FOR A REGENERATIVE FOOD FUTURE
Transformational Investing in Food Systems (TIFS) puts systemic investing strategies and financial innovations into action. We equip leaders, institutions, and intermediaries to bridge capital, producers, and markets.
Who We Are
TIFS equips investors, funders, intermediaries, and businesses with the strategies, tools, and financial innovations needed to direct capital toward regenerative and agroecological food systems — bridging the gap between capital markets and the producers and communities transforming how food is grown.
What We Do
TIFS works to close the "Missing Middle" — the persistent gap between the capital needs of regenerative food producers and the mandates of institutional investors. We convene investors, funders, enterprises, and producers to co-create the financial strategies and innovations needed to bridge this gap.
Through applied research, collaborative design, and field-tested pilots, we prototype and scale investment structures that make regenerative and agroecological food systems financeable at scale.
Ecosystem Building
Transforming food systems requires coordinated action across producers, investors, businesses, and governments. TIFS connects these actors, builds shared intelligence, and catalyzes the collaboration needed to unlock capital for regenerative transitions. Our work is global, with place-based initiatives across the United States, Brazil, Kenya, Indonesia, and beyond.
Financial Innovation
Closing the Missing Middle requires more than connecting the right people — it requires building new financial tools and structures from the ground up. TIFS prototypes and scales financing models that make regenerative and agroecological food systems investable, including innovations in lending, insurance, and multi-asset investment structures.
