On 16 June 2020, the TIFS Community met with BioInnovate Africa. Julius Ecuru, Executive Director of BioInnovate Africa described how the program supports scientists and innovators in East Africa to link biological based research ideas, inventions, and technologies to local business and the market. Participants discussed investments in commercially scalable bio-based products and technologies in low-income and emerging economies.
