The Global Alliance for the Future of Food, the Agroecology Fund, and Transformational Investing in Food Systems (TIFS) are co-hosting a series of events highlighting enterprises, funds, and service providers that contribute to positive food systems change through entrepreneurship. 

Two initiatives that aim to fill critical gaps in the business support ecosystem for agroecological enterprises in East Africa are The Regeneration Fellowship – a start up studio to launch new regenerative businesses – and The Agroecology Accelerator – a business service provider to build capacity and provide appropriate finance for agroecological businesses.

The session included presentations from Hannes van den Eeckhout on The Regeneration Fellowship (slide deck) and Joachim Ewechu of Shona on the Agroecology Accelerator and Revolving Loan Fund (slide deck). Maarten Derksen of Doen Foundation provided his observations about The Regeneration Fellowship. Dan da Silva of Biovision Foundation provided observations on the Agroecology Accelerator and Revolving Loan Fund.
